Teach the pH Scale with a Real Scientific Instrument
The Meascom Classroom pH Experiment Kit provides everything needed to run a practical classroom experiment investigating acids, bases and environmental pH.
Students learn how scientists measure pH by calibrating instruments and testing common substances such as rainwater, lemon juice and baking powder solutions.
The kit is designed for six student groups, allowing an entire class to participate simultaneously.
Replacement electrodes are included to ensure the experiment can continue even if probes are damaged during classroom use.
What Students Learn
Students investigate:
• the pH scale
• acids and bases
• environmental water chemistry
• instrument calibration
• scientific data recording
Students measure the pH of common substances including:
• Lemon juice
• Rainwater
• Baking powder solution
• Soap solution
Classroom Capacity
Designed for:
6 student groups (18–24 students)
Each group works independently using their own pH tester and calibration cups.
